“Rebeka is the founding lawyer at Breder Law – Western Canada’s first exclusive animal law firm of its kind.”
We’ve lost track of the countless awards and recognition Ms. Breder has received and along with so many other advocates for horses, we have tremendous admiration and respect for the work she did representing CHDC in the legal suit against the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency).
We know you’ll join us in congratulating Rebeka Breder on her recent TEDX TALK.
Rebeka, thank you for all you do for so many – and for being you!

A very special thank you to The Winnipeg Humane Society for launching a billboard campaign to stop live horse exportation from Canada to other markets for slaughter.
Two billboards are now located on Pembina Highway and Portage Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba to raise awareness of this inhumane practice.
Manitobans and other Canadians are urged to sign a member of parliament sponsored petition to support this cause, and to write The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food (Canada) along with your Member of Parliament.

The Citizens of Canada, call upon the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food to halt the live export of horses for slaughter, consistent with the Liberal Party of Canada’s 2021 election campaign commitment and the Minister’s December 16, 2021, mandate letter.
This petition has clout because it is sponsored by a Member of Parliament AND if it receives enough signatures it will be presented/read in Parliament.
Very special thanks to Canadian icon Jann Arden for being relentless in her efforts to ban horse slaughter and stop the inhumane and regulation-breaking transport of horses to Japan to be slaughtered for human consumption there.
Initiated by Jann Arden this petition is sponsored by Alistair MacGregor, Cowichan—Malahat—Langford, New Democratic Party Caucus. British Columbia

Tracy Lynn Benkendorf reports that Lady, a young healthy mare has gone missing from Adorado Nino Horse Rescue & Sanctuary.
Adorado is located in Leduc, Alberta (near Edmonton).
A message has been left for the Brand Inspector at the Bouvry Horse Slaughter plant in Alberta.
Tracy is requesting help searching the 80-acre Rescue and Sanctuary property in Leduc.
Exterior fencelines have been checked, and open pastures as well, but there is a good amount of acreage that is heavily treed (and cross-fenced) so those willing to walk and search would be greatly appreciated.
If you are available to help search or know anything about the whereabouts of Lady please call Tracy at 1 (780) 433-4333
Lady is a young healthy horse. There is a chance that she’s been stolen.
Anyone who has – or knows – horses is also thinking…
Horses slip through fences, they sometimes go over them, they even sometimes roll and slip under fences and then are unable to get back to their herd. She could be running a fenceline somewhere.
They unfortunately also get caught up in fencelines and cast.
Again, help is needed by those willing to walk in cold, snowy weather through heavily treed areas of the property to search for Lady.
If you are available to help search or know anything about the whereabouts of Lady please call Tracy at 1 (780) 433-4333
