Kijiji has now taken down the ad account belonging to Stephanie Redlick — but not before at least one person was reportedly scammed.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us in reporting these activities to Kijiji, as well as everyone who continues to send us information.

Please never assume that we already know about something – keep reporting what you find.

We also encourage people to continue sharing this information widely and to carefully read the scam details outlined below.

While the names, phone numbers, and accounts may change, the scams themselves often follow the same familiar pattern and common threads.

Of course, we fully expect another account to appear soon, if there is not already another one active.

Stephanie Redlick’s latest aliases have been updated below, including one she is currently recycling S. Kauffman — and Marabel Martin.

A new phone number has also been added to the ever growing list of numbers she uses — again, see below.

If you are reading this, chances are you are already familiar with the ongoing concerns surrounding Stephanie Redlick, the criminal charges she is currently facing, the separate Animal Welfare Services horse neglect charges before the courts, and the long list of aliases connected to her online activity.

But if you are new to this story, you may want to start here first.

PLEASE NOTE: Redlick’s latest ads are for horses AND CATTLE. While many in horse circles in Ontario know about Redlick – sadly fewer in cattle circles know.

REDLICK IS KNOWN TO FAVOUR KIJIJI

The ads are under a Kijiji account established in April 2026 and listed as belonging to a private account called “HV.” While the ad was up she changed the name on the ad acocunt at least 3 times, and the address at least twice.

According to individuals who contacted the seller through text, the name being used on the caller ID of the phone number is “S. Kauffman.”

The phone number is: (519) 492 3618

Please keep in mind that Stephanie Redlick’s known aliases list is OVER 50 — and Redlick has over 20 phone numbers (secured using a system that the RCMP report is often used by scammers).

ONE OF HER HORSE & CATTLE SCAMS GOES LIKE THIS…

Horses (and she had cattle listed the day before yesterday) are being advertised for thousands of dollars by Redlick — horses she does not own, does not have access to, has not been hired to sell, and may have no connection to whatsoever.

Some of the horses being advertised may have at one time been for sale by someone else – or may be for sale by someone else on another platform. She grabs pictures from the Internet where ever she can.

We have copies of text conversations where Redlick pulled pictures of a Friesian – 2 different horses, that she tried to pass off as the dam and sire of a horse she was attempting to sell.

Neither horse were related to the horse she was trying to sell, they were simply the first pictures that came up on Google when you put in Friesian — yes really.

Some of the horses she is attempting to sell are of pictures of horses that may not be in North America.

Some, according to concerned individuals following this pattern for years, may not even still be alive.

Yet the ads continue.

Prices range anywhere from $2,500 to $10,000.

The descriptions are convincing.

The stories sound believable enough to pull hopeful buyers in.

Then the excuses begin.

If you are local and want to see the horse in person?

Suddenly there is a reason why that cannot happen.

Potential buyers report being told that the seller is Mennonite and that visitors are not allowed on the property.

Want to bring a vet?

No. Again, visitors are not allowed on the property.

Want to see veterinary records?

Blocked.

Want to verify ownership?

Good luck.

You get the gist.

OUT OF THE PROVINCE?

If you are out of province, even better — for Redlick — because you are less likely to travel to see a horse and maybe more willing to trust a seller.

According to multiple complaints that have circulated publicly for years, buyers are encouraged to send deposits or full payment with promises that the horse will be delivered later.

And then, allegedly, the horse never arrives.

One individual in British Columbia (we have documentation) lost $10,000 after paying for a grey horse that was never delivered.

The most frustrating part for many people is not simply the allegations themselves — it is the apparent inability or unwillingness of authorities to intervene before more people are affected.

In British Columbia, one complainant says they were told by RCMP that inter-provincial scams are difficult to prove.

When that same individual reportedly reached out to Ontario Provincial Police — in an area where Redlick is already before the courts on multiple criminal charges — there was no interest in pursuing the matter further.

HELP GET REDLICK’S CURRENT ACCOUNT REMOVED

(AGAIN, THIS ONE HAS BEEN REMOVED BUT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE)

We have reported the ads and Redlick’s account – and in the past we’ve been successful at getting them taken down.

But as quickly as we can get the ads and accounts taken down, new ones appear under different names.

You can help by signing into Kijiji,

opening one of the ads,

scrolling to the bottom of the listing,

and reporting it as a scam.

The faster Redlick’s ads are reported, the faster they are removed — and the harder it becomes for unsuspecting buyers to lose money.

Stephanie Redlick hides behind numerous aliases, operating over 30 50 Facebook accounts and multiple Kijiji profiles under fake names.

Even though Redlick is facing criminal and animal welfare charges she's not stopped creating new profiles to attempt to publicly discredit anyone speaking out against her - or to continue to make outlandish offers.

FAQ: How does Stephanie Redlick AKA Stephanie Alessia have so many phone numbers?

That's a GREAT question and one that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in British Columbia answered after it was reported to them that someone bought a horse from Redlick - that she promised to deliver and $10K later the horse was not delivered.

Later it was discovered that Redlick NEVER had the horse she "sold" in her possession - that the pictures she used were ones she simply found on the Internet.

The RCMP recognized where all the phone numbers came from - "A known service to be widely used by 'professional' scam artists". VERY cheap to secure phone numbers.

It is of course free to set up multiple Facebook profiles and multiple profiles on Kijiji, etc.

And Gmail email address are free and easy to set up - she has even more email addresses than phone numbers and fake names.

Many people have stayed silent out of fear—because anyone who speaks out about Redlick's behaviour becomes a target.

Stephanie Redlick's default tactic is to aggressively smear and discredit anyone who dares to expose the truth which only makes us more determined to raise awareness and demand accountability from Ontario’s Animal Welfare Services.

Let’s start here, because this part matters more than anything else.

If you follow, like, or comment on a page run by Stephanie Redlick — you are helping her scam more people.

I know that’s not what anyone intends.

Most people think they’re doing something good. Watching. Keeping tabs. Gathering information.

But that’s not how social media works.

Every follow, every comment, every bit of engagement tells the algorithm:

“This page is active. This page is relevant. Show it to more people.”

And just like that, a scam page starts to look legitimate.

It shows up higher in searches. It reaches more unsuspecting people. It gains credibility it absolutely does not deserve. That’s how scams grow.

So instead, we are asking you to do the opposite:

Block the pages created and run by Redlick. Report the page to Facebook/Kijiji, etc. Do NOT engage with the page.

And when you see those pages and her posts shared into groups?

PLEASE: Reach out to the admins.

Let them know exactly who they’re dealing with.

SO, WHAT IS REDLICK CURRENTLY UP TO?

Recently, I spoke at length with a detective currently investigating PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTIST Stephanie Redlick — or whatever name she’s using this week. And yes… that’s how the detective referred to her. Repeatedly. A professional. Serial. Scam artist. Let that sink in for a second.

THE ONGOING, REVOLVING DOOR OF SCAMS

Trying to keep up with Stephanie Redlick is honestly a full-time job.

If you scroll back in our blog you’ll find plenty more of her SCAMS, from horses for sale, to hay for sale, to offering hauling, to having a barn to lease – none of which she actually has — but here’s an example of some of the most recent ones…

A “complain about your horse trader experience” page

Attached to that: “A supposed paralegal service”

A “horse sales barn/consignment operation'”

A “brokered” cleaning business

Each one designed to look ‘just real’ enough, to pull money out of someone else’s pocket.

THE PARALEGAL SCAM

This one would almost be funny if it wasn’t so predatory.

You’re encouraged to share your bad experience buying or selling a horse.

We know, you’re right, isn’t that like the pot calling the kettle black?

You vent. You tell your story.

And then — surprise — you’re contacted. There’s a “paralegal” willing to help you file in small claims court.

All you need to do? Pay an upfront fee.

Now here’s where it gets interesting. The name of the paralegal does match someone registered with the Law Society of Ontario.

But the phone number doesn’t match.

And the voice on the other end?

We do have recordings – and so do the police.

We do have screenshots from people who could have been victims. (Again, so do the police.) And we do have late-night calls and messages pushing people to “act now.”

There’s never a dull moment.

Is this a text from Redlick pretending to be Douglas Allen a paralegal?

Is he another victim?

We don’t know – we’re trying to reach him to warn him that she may be pretending to be him.

Calls to the number the text comes from go unanswered, and then we’re told to call a different number.

WHEN EXPOSURE BACKFIRES

When we identified one of her Facebook pages and shared it publicly, a lot of people went to look. Which makes sense. But instead of blocking and reporting…

They followed it.

And just like that, Redlick’s page gained traction. It started to look legitimate. It started working in her favour. That part is on all of us to fix moving forward. REMEMBER: When you engage with her accounts on social media – you boost them in the algorithms.

BUT THERE IS GOOD NEWS…

There are more eyes on Redlick than ever before. We’re hearing from people spotting her:

– In coffee shops
– In pizza restaurants
– In parking lots
– At tack stores
– Places that buy gold
– At auctions
– Driving through specific communities

And maybe most importantly…

People are recognizing her accounts, even new ones, under new aliases, and reporting them and going to the police with her scams and attempted scams. Her bullying tactics are no longer working.

THE HORSE SALE BARN (THAT ISN’T)

Stephanie Redlick under a new aliases is offering to sell horses on behalf of owners. There’s just one problem. The horses offered are in no way shape or form connected to Redlick.

The barn itself? Looks polished. Professional. Impressive.

What’s that you say? Horses and a barn generated by A.I. – along with her ads.

How many barns was she kicked out of in 2.5 months? Three or was it four in very short order?

How many horses neglected, how many had to be euthanized? How many abandoned?

THE LATEST VERSION OF THE CLEANING SCAM

This one targets small businesses and its latest victims’ stories will break your heart.

Here’s how it works: Stephanie Redlick advertises cleaning services in local Facebook groups. The posts look polished — AI-generated.

Redlick finds a client. Quotes the job over the phone and by text..

Collects payment upfront via e-transfer.

Then Redlick turns around and hires a real cleaning business.

Promises them payment on-site. Tells them she’ll meet them there.

And then the excuses start…

– “I’m stuck in traffic.”
– “Go ahead and start.”
– “I’ll be there soon.”
– “I’m in a meeting.”

You can probably guess how this ends. She never shows up.

The cleaners finish the job. Take before and after pictures. And they don’t get paid.

And Redlick even has the balls to use their before and after pictures on her Facebook page.

THE PEOPLE WHO PAY THE PRICE?

And the people who pay the price? Not Redlick. it’s never her.

It’s the 2 women who showed up. Who worked. Who gave up their time. Who trusted they were walking into a legitimate job.

It’s their families. Their children. Their lost income. Their time they don’t get back.

Money they were counting on for things as simple — and as important — as Easter.

And one of those women is just coming out of a year of being homeless. Just getting back on her feet.

The police have been contacted.

CRYSTAL MITCHELL STEPS IN…

Recently, Crystal Mitchell — who many will remember as the driving force behind exposing the condition of 16 emaciated horses that Redlick is currently facing 2 sets of Animal Welfare Services charges for neglecting — decided to engage.

Crystal refused to back down even though Redlick attempted to bully her into doing so.

Carefully. Strategically. Crystal interacted with Redlick regarding these cleaning services. And what followed? For your entertainment we’re including screen shots of the text messages.

P.S. We especially LOVE how Redlick claims she’s going to report Crystal to the police.

Oh, and you’ll find a list of known Stephanie Redlick aliases below – but don’t get too attached to any of them because Redlick consistently changes the names on her profiles and ‘business’ business pages.

She’ll have another name for the cleaning company SCAM sooner than later.

We don’t have to agree on politics to find common ground on accountability, transparency, and protecting animals. For that reason, we are extremely grateful for the investigative work they devoted to exposing Stephanie Redlick’s 13 animal welfare charges and two sets of criminal charges.

Their recent feature, led by reporter David Menzies, presents documentation and firsthand encounters that deserve public attention.

P.S. We are hard pressed (like David Menzies) to find one statement Redlick makes that is true. But don’t take our word for it, see the documentation below.

SHE DOES APPEAR TO BE EXTREMELY BUSY

Stephanie Redlick was scheduled to appear in criminal court today.

She didn’t. [More about what being a no show means for her in just a bit.]

Instead, a student lawyer appeared on her behalf, so it does appear that the legal aid certificate approved the day before her last court appearance on this matter was put to use.

The first order of business was delay.

Defence asked for a 12-week adjournment, citing the need to obtain disclosure and prepare the file.

The judge declined. This case is already 8 months old, and the court made it clear it had no appetite for further slow-walking.

Instead, the matter was pushed only one month forward, to February 26.

Then came the consequence of Redlick’s absence.

Because she failed to appear, the judge issued a bench warrant with discretion — a formal legal warning that authorizes police to arrest her if she’s a no show again.

Court patience is clearly wearing thin.

In a recent interview Redlick claimed a publication ban – or as she called it a publication ‘band’ – was in place.

There wasn’t.

The same interview in which she denied presenting herself as a charity.

The record says otherwise.

The same interview in which she deflected responsibility for severely neglected horses.

Authorities seized 16 horses and laid charges.

And of course she insisted she didn’t apply for legal aid – athough court transcripts from December 18, 2025 show she said in court that she did.

To be fair, she does appear to be extremely busy…

Over the next few weeks alone, Redlick is scheduled to appear in multiple courts across different regions of Ontario, facing two separate sets of criminal charges and two separate sets of animal welfare charges.

FOUR different courts.

She is due back in court as early as February 12, where she is expected to answer to multiple criminal charges in one jurisdiction and multiple AWS charges in another jurisdiction.

It’s going to be interesting to see how she handles being in 2 court rooms on the same day – in 2 jurisdictions.

She is to return once again on February 26 for the multiple criminal charges she was supposed to appear for today.

Then she is back in court on March 26, to face multiple AWS charges.

4 x multiple sets of charges x 4 different courts! Calling her prolific is a definite understatement.

Today’s no-show wasn’t just procedural. It was another chapter in an increasingly familiar pattern: confident public claims, quietly contradicted by official records.

We’ll see whether she attends next time — or whether the bench warrant becomes something far less discretionary.

Please know and get that Stephanie Redlick and her father Sammy Redlick are out and about looking for a place to keep horses AND looking to buy or take free horses.

Please warn your family, friends and neighbours even if they don’t have horses — or what you would consider a horse property.

We’re doing our best to get the word out but since November 11th, the Redlick’s have managed to take advantage of 3 unsuspecting families – let’s stop them squatting on a 4th property.

To the best of our knowledge she first claimed to be operating a rescue AFTER 16 horses of hers were seized by Animal Welfare Services (and 13 animal neglect charges were laid..)

Redlick reached out to Rebel News, the same way she reached out to Orillia Matters – asking for someone to tell her side of the story.

Well the story got told but we don’t think it was what she’d hoped for.

You’ll see below that Orillia Today reached out to the Canada Revenue Agency AFTER Redlick insisted she was a fully registered charity.

Hmm. That was NOT confirmed.

When David Menzies interviewed her she changed her story and said she’d never claimed to be a registered charity and that she did NOT ask for donations. If you have watched the video you know…

Menzies asked her several different ways if she ever claimed to be a charity — just to be sure she couldn’t come back later and say she didn’t understand the question.

Hmm.

We have screen shots of her website from last week where she is asking for donations. Rebel News found the same thing when they visited her site last week and they are featured on the video in the opening remarks.

PLUS of course as you scroll down you’ll see that she told the reporter at Orillia Matters that she was a registered charity.

OH, but wait, she also said she doesn’t take funds…

A CLOSE CALL & STARK REMINDER

This afternoon, we received a call from a friend—part of a chain of concerned women trying to help a young horse owner in her 20s.

Struggling to afford board, the young woman was considering surrendering her horse to a rescue. But thankfully, our friend warned her contact to be very cautious—too many horses are unknowingly relinquished to kill buyers and end up in the slaughter pipeline.

It turns out the “so-called” rescue contacted was Above the Stars Equine Rescue.

They requested $150 to secure a spot, plus an additional intake fee.

The woman was told—by Stephanie Martin, also known as Stephanie Redlick—that the horse would be taken to a property in the Ottawa Valley. Once picked up, she would never be allowed to see her horse again.

As reported by Orillia Matters, Above the Stars is not a registered charity—despite public claims to the contrary. The owner of the so called rescue – Stephanie Redlick who also goes by over 30 aliases including Stephanie Martin – is now facing multiple animal neglect charges by Animal Welfare Services AND criminal charges related to cattle theft and fraud.

“They are not, and never have been, a registered charity,” said Charity Intelligence Canada managing director, Kate Bahen, in the July 2025 Orillia Matters article.

Thankfully, the women advising this young horse owner quickly connected the dots. The horse is safe—and will not be surrendered to this so-called “rescue.”

Let this serve as a critical reminder:

Do your homework. Ask questions. Trust your gut.

And when in doubt—reach out to those who can help vet the situation before it’s too late.

We continue to receive troubling reports involving Stephanie Redlick, who is already facing multiple animal neglect charges filed by Animal Welfare Services of Ontario, along with unrelated criminal charges for fraud and theft reported by CTV News.

Redlick now appears to be operating alongside a partner, Lilianna (Lili) DiMatteo, and continues to represent herself publicly as both an equine therapist and the operator of a so-called horse rescue called “Under the Stars Equine Rescue.”

According to several accounts, Redlick has been offering “therapy” sessions, describing herself as “like a doctor but not a licensed therapist, so OHIP doesn’t cover my charges.”

Redlick reportedly requires payment upfront for multiple sessions via e-transfer, and if someone asks to meet her or see the property where the horses and sessions supposedly take place, she allegedly insists that payment must be made first — after which she proposes to meet the person at a Tim Hortons, rather than at any facility.

These reports are deeply concerning — especially given Redlick’s existing criminal and animal welfare history.

We urge anyone approached by Stephanie Redlick or Lilianna DiMatteo regarding horse purchases, therapy services, or “rescue” operations to exercise extreme caution and verify all claims before engaging in any transaction.

STEPHANIE & SAMMY REDLICK ABANDONED 2 HORSES

Stephanie Redlick is a name many in Ontario’s horse and animal welfare communities have come to recognize — and fear. Her history includes 16 horses seized by Animal Welfare Services, 13 animal welfare charges, and multiple sets of criminal charges (see here and here), yet she remains legally permitted to continue acquiring horses.

On November 11, 2025 Redlick had a mare picked up and transported it to a property she was immediately barred from. Redlick was NOT allowed on the property.

The barn and boarding operation owner provided excellent care for 9 days – which she was not paid for.

On November 20th, 2025 Redlick had that mare hauled to yet another property and along the way a 4 month old colt was picked up.

Redlick – in typical Redlick fashion was immediately barred from that property and only allowed on with an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) escort. The rent she promised to pay never materialized.

The horses were hauled away from that property near the end of the month under the custodian clause in the PAWS Act – even though she claimed they were stolen.

That story is here.

The horses then spent 6 days receiving much needed medical attention – no thanks to Redlick – she didn’t pay for any of the treatment or board.

Once again on that property she was only allowed onto the property with an OPP escort.

Next – due to a loop hole – she had them moved to a property on Curries Road in Norwich where the horses were lucky if she checked on them once per day and for at most 2 hours — but the majority of the days she showed up — it was only for 45 minutes to an hour.

Who leaves their horses unchecked for 23 hours per day – or even worse leaves them for 2 days?

After yet again presenting a check that bounced and neither she or her father Sammy Redlick making good on it – Redlick was officially and legally evicted from that property — and the horses considered abandoned.

Don’t worry, the horses are safe. They have been transported to a well recognized and highly regarded facility – where they are getting a full vet work up and all the appropriate care.

We have all the details and will share LOADS more soon – but in the meantime please know and get that Redlick will be looking to buy more horses and to secure another spot to keep them — so please warn your family and friends.

AND yes, she is allowed to accumulate horses even with all the charges against her.

Every year thousands of horses are routinely slaughtered in Canada, for human consumption, but you can help us ban horse slaughter in Canada and beyond.

Some of the meat is consumed in Canada, and much of it is shipped to the European Union, and other markets, including Japan.

This barbaric practice is currently not legal in the United States, so horses from the United States are shipped to Canada, and to Mexico, to be slaughtered.

In addition Canada allows for the transportation of live horses to Japan to be slaughtered for human consumption, and unfortunately the transportation of horses destined for slaughter within Canada, and by air to Japan for saughter, is far from humane.
