We are determined to once and for all stop the needless, barbaric slaughter of horses (or any other equine) within Canada – including those imported from the USA — and to stop the inhumane export of horses from Canada to Japan — or any other market — for slaughter.
Three decades of advocating for various human, environmental and animal causes along with twelve years of hands-on rescuing horses before they ended up in the slaughter pipeline led to the founding in 2016 of BAN HORSE SLAUGHTER.

1. Rescuing horses and other equines before they enter the slaughter pipeline
2. Public awareness campaigns
3. Political lobbying
BAN HORSE SLAUGHTER IS DEDICATED TO:
1. Preventing horses and other equines from entering the slaughter pipeline.
2. Banning horse slaughter or the slaughter of any equine for any purpose within Canada - including the slaughter of horses and other equines imported from the USA.
3. Banning the export of horses from the USA to Canada or Mexico for slaughter.
4. Banning the export of horses from Canada to any other market for slaughter.
We are 100% volunteer & crowdfunded.
